Legion Veterans Camp

 

Branches in our North Okanagan zone own Veterans Holiday Camp on Gardom Lake, just 18km from Salmon Arm. The camp contains 18 campsites with electrical outlets and water and 7 cabins on 12.5 acres next to a 1000 ft. stretch of lakeshore beach for lounging and cooling off in the hot summer weather. The zone is offering this as a new way to serve veterans.

Eligibility: No-fee summer fun for veterans with PTSD and their families is now available. The Gardom Lake Veterans Holiday Camp is offering a no fee summer camping experience to veterans with PTSD and their families. Royal Canadian Legion Membership is NOT required.

Where: The Veteran’s Holiday Camp is situated on Gardom Lake and is 18.1 kilometers from Salmon Arm on Hwy 97B and 3.1 kilometers from the Enderby, Grinrod, Salmon Arm turn off from Hwy 97A, Gardom Lake Road.

When: Noon July, 12 to Noon July 19,2019

Please note: Campers must provide their own transportation, towels, bedding, food and toiletries for the week. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
