We're raising funds to help veterans relearn to walk again!
Placement of the Lokomat medical device is planned for 2022 in the Legion Veteran's Village. Be a part of making this device available for veterans and anyone who needs it. The Lokomat medical device facilitates robot-assisted therapy so anyone can relearn to walk again from the beginning. It enables effective and intensive training and ensures the optimal exploitation of neuroplasticity and recovery.
During rehabilitation, patients need to be challenged at and beyond their capabilities...
"Training with the Lokomat is diverse and exciting because I can control the directions myself with the amount of strength I put in."
Make a Donation Today and Empower a Veteran in Need
Empowering this kind of innovation is an everyday occurrence for BC/Yukon Legion members involved with the Legion Foundation BC/Yukon Command. You can become a part of that innovation, too.
The Legion Foundation BC/Yukon Command has been funding innovative services for veterans from the start. Being a part of peer-to-peer counselling programs, PTSD service dog training, Cockrell House (transition housing for homeless veterans), military skills conversion programs, youth track and field, and other community programs through giving is our privilege.
For over twenty years, our donors carry this good kind of pride because they care for those who cared enough to serve our country.
When you make your donation, your donation will go towards helping veterans and first-responders using the Lokomat medical device. In 2022, phase one of the Legion Veterans Village will come to completion. And the Lokomat will begin to enable physically-impaired veterans to improve their quality of life and, start walking again.
We would like to invite you to join our mission as a donor in providing innovative services to veterans, RCMP and first-responders. We guarantee your commitment to give will improve the life of veterans and our Canadian community. We look forward to your generous donation.
